The cosmetically updated Mercedes-Benz E-Classsedan and Estate models will go on sale in Britain this April with prices ranging from £32,400 OTR for E220 CDI saloon to £75,510 OTR for the E63 AMG station wagon.Along with the new looks, the German brand also revamped and simplified the trim grades, which now consists of SE and AMG Sport that replace the SE, Avantgarde and Sport models from the previous generation E-Class.
While the new SE models cost £2,280 more than the outgoing SE, Mercedes says it has added more than £4,000 worth of additional standard equipment. The same applies for the AMG Sport that brings £3,000 of added standard features for a £575 increase in price over the previous Sport.
In the UK, the SE grade is offered with three diesel engines, the E 220 CDI, E 250 CDI and E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID, and two petrol engines, the E 200 (Saloon only) and E 250.
The AMG Sport model offers the same powertrains as the SE, with the addition of the 350 BlueTEC and is priced at £2,495 above the SE, starting from £34,895 OTR.
The 557hp E63 AMG tops out the range and is available in both body styles.
